Hong Kong Minisforum and Indiegogo-going Morefine Focus are preparing a Mini-PC solution based on AMD’s latest Zen 3 APU. Both companies have confirmed that they will be equipped with a powerful AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX APU, which contains 8 Zen 3 cores, 16 threads and integrated Vega graphics, suitable for high-performance use cases with relatively moderate GPU power requirements.
Minisforum is undoubtedly the big player here, but the details of its upcoming Mini-PC are still very few-the company only released a teaser image Via twitter The PCB design of the upcoming Mini-PC (AMD Ryzen and X suffixes are distinguishable, even if only barely). We can see a lot of USB connections and other I/O elements, but other than that, there is not much information actually-however, the company did confirm that the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX chip is on the board.
As for Morefine Focus, this China-based company has launched Indiegogo activities For the upcoming S500+ Mini-PC. It is not clear at which stage of development this Mini-PC is, but the company did share an exploded view of the S500+ and its component list. We are looking for the AMD Ryzen 5900HX APU at the core of the Mini-PC, paired with dual-channel LPDDR4 RAM, with a capacity of up to 64 GB and a running frequency of 3200 MHz. Storage options include a 2.5″ drive bay (which can be filled by SSD or HDD) and a pair of M.2 2280 NVMe ports for SSD expansion. Bluetooth (5.0) and WiFi (6) are also available and have been deployed through a single M. 2 Expansion card.
The I/O of Morefine Focus includes 2x USB 3.2 Type-A, 4x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.2 Type-C encapsulated in the DisplayPort protocol, up to 4K @ 60 Hz, 1x RJ45 2.5 Gbps LAN (Realtek), 1x RJ45 1 Gbps Lan (Also Realtek), 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4m and 3.5 mm audio jack.
