The device occupies only three full-size 5.25-inch device bays, and is commonly found on many workstation-class PCs used in enterprises.
To connect all these drives to the system, Icy Dock implemented a solution that reduces cable clutter and helps cable management. The six MiniSAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors on the back of the device connect all 24 drives to the system.
