Amazon Netherlands (via Dell Channel 21) Announced the pricing of three Intel 12th generation products Alder Lake processor. The price includes value added tax (VAT) and may be a placeholder before Intel officially announced Alder Lake. For now, we recommend that you add a little salt to the pricing.
The retailer listed Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K and Core i5-12600K at prices of US$982, US$744, and US$375. The standard VAT rate in the Netherlands is 21%. If we subtract it from the pricing, Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K and Core i5-12600K are priced at $812, $615, and $310, respectively.
Even if there is no value-added tax, the pricing of the three Alder Lake K series chips still seems out of place. Again, outside of the US market, computer hardware is usually more expensive. AdvantageAn established American retailer has launched Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K and Core i5-12600K at prices of US$605, US$422 and US$289 respectively. Another American store The same processor was previously listed at $705, $495, and $343.
For many reasons, the 12th generation chip will be an interesting release. Alder Lake is Intel’s first hybrid processor on the desktop platform. More importantly, these processors will be the first mainstream chips to adopt next-generation DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 interfaces.
Intel will host the Intel Innovation Event from October 27th to 28th, and we may hear more about Alder Lake at that time. Hope the chip manufacturer will finally give us a release date.
