Delta 15 is a 15-inch model equipped with AMD Ryzen 5000 H series processors and the highest AMD Radeon RX 6700M mobile GPU.The goal of this laptop is to fit a big fist in a compact body, which MSI calls “one of the thinnest and lightest AMD gaming laptops[s]The laptop is only 19 mm thick and weighs 1.9 kg. Its shell is made of sandblasted aluminum and painted in charcoal gray. MSI advertises that the 4-cell battery of the laptop can provide 12 hours of productivity and entertainment. However, the exact milliampere hour (mAh) is not yet known. This model is equipped with a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS (optional) panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz.
Next, we have Alpha 15 and Alpha 17 SKU. Although both have different display sizes, 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches respectively, they are very similar from under the hood. Both are supported by AMD’s Ryzen 5000 H series processors; however, unlike the Delta 15 SKU, these two models are limited to Radeon RX 6600M GPUs. Both the 15-inch and 17-inch versions have 1080p optional IPS panels with a 144 Hz refresh rate. In addition, both models have four-cell batteries with unknown capacity.
All three models have similar settings in terms of storage, memory, and I/O options. For example, storage options include two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSDs, and you can choose to place up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory in two slots for RAM expansion.
Delta 15 has one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C / DP, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. Although all three laptops are equipped with a combination of Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth v5.2, the Alpha SKU is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port due to its thicker body.
In addition, it is worth pointing out that MSI is launching these laptops as part of its AMD Advantage product line. AMD Advantage aims to combine a 100 fps gaming experience with a fast 144Hz+ gaming monitor with other premium facilities, such as fast boot using NVMe storage drives and more than 10 hours of video playback.
