With the extension of the arms trade investigation, NVIDIA offers concessions in the EU

The European Commission (EC) this week extended its investigation into Nvidia’s acquisition of Arm until at least October 27, and stated that Nvidia had provided certain concessions to the EU to persuade the EU’s antitrust regulators to approve the transaction. Experts said that the EU regulatory review will take longer.

In order for regulators to approve the acquisition of Arm, NVIDIA is eager to provide various incentives to their respective countries or groups. In the United Kingdom, the company proposed to invest “at least” $100 million in the country’s most powerful supercomputer.
